Dave Garbutt, Registered Massage Therapist
Dave has been practicing massage therapy in the city of Victoria for 10 years and lived in the area for more than 40 years. As an ‘island boy’, Dave spent much of his youth adventuring in our great outdoors. From ocean and white water kayaking to hiking to skydiving, Dave has tried just about everything the island has to offer. For nearly 20 years, Dave could be most likely spotted mountain biking the trails in and around Shawnigan lake.
More recently, Dave has persued a quieter life in Saanich. He spends much of his time with his wife and teenage son, taking him to and from various lacrosse activities or hiking the trails around the south island. He has held on to a love for the outdoors working in horticulture, landscaping and arboriculture in and around the Greater Victoria area and the Cowichan Valley.
With a passion for Myofascial massage Dave has shifted and blended his techniques with an evidence based approach while keeping in touch with his roots in years of effective practice. He firmly believes that patient participation, focus and interaction are the keys to a healthy and productive therapeutic relationship. Dave looks forward to putting his years of experience to work for you to help you improve your daily life by helping you align your personal, mental and physical selves and achieve a more balanced being.
