Equilibrium Therapeutics is a multidisciplinary health clinic in the heart of downtown Victoria, BC, on Fisgard Street in Hudson Mews. Our team of over 30 practitioners brings together registered massage therapy, physiotherapy, acupuncture, and counselling under one roof. Parking is easy — two hours of free parking in the garage beneath the building, plus metered street parking nearby.

Whether you’re dealing with pain, recovering from an injury, or working toward better overall health, our practitioners start with a thorough assessment of your history, symptoms, and goals. From there we build a treatment plan around what you actually need — hands-on massage therapy, physiotherapy and rehab, acupuncture, or counselling support.

After trying both physiotherapy and massage therapy for sciatic pain with disappointing results, I tried acupuncture. And I just recently finished five acupuncture treatments with Demi Palmer at Equilibrium. Demi is a gentle, skilled practitioner. She demonstrated compassion toward me and interest in my problem. But perhaps most importantly, the treatments work. Demi encouraged me to set a goal at the beginning of our treatment (half-an-hour of pain-free walking) and I have surpassed that goal. She explained everything fully, asked questions of me to determine treatment, and answered all of my questions. She even provided follow up emails twice–once after a session that ended up triggering strong emotions. She just wanted to check out how I was feeling. She is genuinely kind. I was surprised at how much I love acupuncture. Although there is some discomfort involved, overall the needling sensations are delicious and lying on the heated bed is very relaxing. I walk away feeling that healing has taken place. I highly recommend Demi and Equilibrium (the front desk staff are friendly and helpful). I had an extremely positive experience.

Her extensive knowledge and experience of the back and spine and her thorough explanation of her procedure, gave me confidence and assurance that I would totally recover from my injury. Well decorated office with personable and helpful staff. Always has a pot of brewed tea for customers to enjoy, as well as some dark chocolates on the desk. Comfortable seating in the waiting room and some of the most delightful massage tables I’ve come across. If you need heated everything, they have it. The table articulation adds a greater degree of comfort. 10/10 will go again.

Brenda – as always – u guys offer a great service and I have had a number of therapists at Equilibrium – I have never had a bad experience – yesterday I came in because of an injury – I am a little tender today but vastly improved – I am reminded that I need to get back – if I ever was REALLY in one – to a routine – an ongoing regularly scheduled appts – but your model of service – with 7 days and excellent therapists whom I know you are vetting and evaluating is just very reassuring – I have several colleagues whom I have sent in either ‘emergencies’, that is from out of town and in pain, or just local looking for a good therapist and everyone has been happy – no one has expressed anything but happiness with the service and I know all continue to use the service.
