Why This Policy?
At Equilibrium Therapeutics, we’re committed to simplifying your experience while reducing waste and administrative inefficiencies. As part of that effort, we now require all patients to have a valid credit card on file with us.
This policy helps us:
- Reduce paper waste and billing delays
- Spend more time on patient care instead of collections
- Ensure you don’t have to worry about missed bills or late payments
Your card is stored securely in JaneApp, our HIPAA-compliant system, using bank-level encryption and security standards.
How It Works.
- When you book by phone, our Patient Experience Coordinator will enter your card directly into JaneApp.
- You can also securely add your card through your online booking profile.
- Your card will be used to settle any balance remaining after insurance processes your claim.
- Receipts are emailed after each transaction.
Please Note:
- If your card expires or becomes invalid, we ask you to update it.
- Overpayments will be refunded to your card on file.
- You’re responsible for understanding your insurance coverage.
- This policy applies to all patients regardless of visit type or insurance.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need to keep a credit card on file? I’ve never had to do this before.
This system streamlines billing, reduces costs, and is increasingly standard in healthcare settings.
Is my credit card information safe?
Yes. JaneApp uses encrypted, bank-level security. We can only see the last 4 digits, and your full number cannot be accessed or exported.
I always pay my bills on time. Why is this necessary for me?
We appreciate that! This policy is about consistency and efficiency for all patients.
What if there’s a billing issue and I notice it after a charge?
Contact us right away. If an error is found, we will issue a prompt refund to your card.
If you have any questions about this policy, our team is here to help. Your trust means everything to us.
