Christopher Simons, MC, RCC - Clinical Counsellor
I support adults of all ages, genders, cultures, and affection orientations who are ready to make changes, even if we don’t yet know what those changes might be. Whether you have been on your healing journey for years, have just begun sorting it all out, or are struggling with recent challenges, my counselling for adults in Victoria, BC can help identify barriers to improved well-being. Together we’ll honour the wisdom of your coping strategies, fine-tune what works and what no longer serves, and may discover ways to more fully thrive.
I take an integrated approach that borrows from several counselling modalities to best serve you and your unique set of circumstances and needs. In addition to a master’s degree in counselling, I have training in somatic work and attachment-based practice for trauma resulting from abuse. I also bring training and applied experience in internal family systems (IFS), narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and cognitive-based mindfulness therapy. This training does not dictate the way I work but is available if our conversations reveal that one of these approaches will benefit you.
I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, which is recognised by ICBC and most BC-based benefits packages.
