Rachel Tang, MA, CCC — Clinical Counsellor in Victoria, BC (Virtual Only)

My name is Rachel, and from a young age, I’ve been drawn to understanding and supporting others. That deep-rooted desire led me to the field of psychology, where I continue to find meaning in walking alongside people on their path to healing and growth.

I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan. Prior to becoming a clinical counsellor, I spent over 12 years supporting hundreds of academic research studies in social and behavioural psychology—an experience that sharpened both my curiosity and my insight into human behaviour.

In my counselling practice, I bring a compassionate, humanistic, and client-centered approach that is trauma-informedculturally awarestrengths-based, and justice-oriented. I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs and often draw from evidence-based modalities, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Motivational Enhancement Therapy

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for something to shift, I’m here to help you reconnect with the insight and strength already within you.

I support individuals navigating a wide range of concerns, including:

  • Trauma & PTSD
  • Anxiety & depression
  • Substance use & co-occurring challenges
  • Grief and loss
  • ADHD & sleep concerns
  • Chronic illness
  • Self-harm, suicidal ideation & distress tolerance
  • Relationship & communication issues

I currently offer virtual counselling for clients across British Columbia through Equilibrium Clinics and am committed to creating a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space for healing.
